Snow day in Bisbee

snow day Cheyenne MacMasters

We are having a snow morning here in Bisbee, Arizona. Offices are opening a few hours later, basically because no one trusts the other person to know how to drive on snow-covered ice.

I thought I’d let you take a look at my neighborhood in daylight. Perched above this cement garage is one of the agave stalks where orbs hover.

The gate that is often an attractor of nighttime orbs.

Looks like the dog has already taken a look into town from our bench.

B Mountain from which the moon rises over our miner shack architecture.

I was watching the snow blow off the rooftops from my kitchen window, and realized a photo opportunity awaited outside.

The distant mountains are in Mexico, whose border is about 12 miles from my house.

The “Old Bisbee” section of town is so steep the post office won’t deliver mail to our houses. The benefit is that the post office is a neighborhood meeting place, giving us endless opportunities to greet each other and exchange pleasantries. It’s why we’re all so gosh darn friendly!

Forest Presence

I found this image while going through my collection of recent ski trip photographs. Nothing more mysterious than pointing one’s camera at the sun. But still, it has a sense of presence, a visitation of the divine…

Full Moon Orbs

The full moon brought me out of the house this evening to quest for orbs. My personal orb, good old tear drop, awaited me on the upper left of my photo as usual.

When questing for orbs in my neighborhood, I always look to see who is floating above the agave stalks.

Looks like a moon, this orb on a branch.

Always hopeful, this is a first, an orb among the Chinaberry trees.

Happy Full Moon everyone!

Fire Pit Orbs and Award Nominations!

fire pit orbs C. MacMasters

Orbs gathered last night to enjoy a fire pit with friends.

firepit orbs C. MacMasters

The fun part for me was introducing orbs to the previously unaware.

fire pit orbs C. MacMasters

The moon was quarter full and the stars were especially bright, so it was easy to identify the orbs as they appeared on my camera’s view screen after taking the picture.

firepit orbs C. MacMasters

Of course, those sitting around the fire pit tired of having my camera flash disturbing the peace. So we won’t be looking at them in these photos.

And, soon the orbs moved away to further out in the neighborhood.

Spirits of the Forest

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

New Moon is a perfect time to quest for orbs.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

Orbs swirl in concert, Spirits of the Forest.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

I can see them moving through the light of the focus beam, impatient to be photographed.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

It isn’t often that anyone pays attention to the Spirits of the Forest.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

So eager for notice,  the Spirits of the Forest cloud the view screen.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

Must be pretty lonely in the woods with no one to take an interest.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

Suddenly it’s a party with orbs of Forest Spirits coming from all directions.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

And, like many parties, some encounters are more dramatic than others.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

It’s just so wonderful to see the Spirits of the Forest dancing together.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

Whoosh!!!

Day and Night in the Forest

DN1

Being in the Forest is to appreciate the simple joys of light and shadow.

DN3

Where does the path lead, but into wonder?

DN4

The most simple looks profound.

DN5

And the divine shines upon you.

DN6

To be here is best of all.

DN7

More wonders greet the returned forest seeker.

DN8

Night will bring different wonders.

DN9

Orbs will be watching from on high.

DN10

They may even flock to see you.

DN11

But is the smoke in the trees actually not smoke at all?

DN12

Have you attracted the attention of the spirits of the Forest?

DN13

You can watch your breath, and you can watch the smoke, and still not know.

DN14

Spooky and mysterious, it’s night time in the Forest.

Forest Orbs in Smoke

orbs in Forest Cheyenne MacMasters

The orbs outside the forest cabin started out shyly this evening.

forst orb Cheyenne MacMasters

Stately and dignified pines are fitting for a shining orb.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

Smoke from the cabin chimney seemed to bring the orbs into the open, yet hiding behind a veil.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

When the smoke clears and we see more orbs high above.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

The privacy of a veil of smoke emboldens the orbs.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

Although this could very well be chimney smoke, the cloud came in with a “whoosh” and the next photo was completely clear sky.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

Becoming less shy.

forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

More smoke to entice the orbs into revealing themselves.

 forest orbs Cheyenne MacMasters

I stood outside over my ankles in snow, slippers buried somewhere below, when I felt a tug to my left. One more orb beckoned to be photographed this evening.

Forest Orbs

The forest is wonderfully dark at night. Spooky with possibilities. And, yes, there are orbs as well.

Pale orbs among the tallest trees, cautious in their observance of the newcomer.

Sometimes lurking at the edge of a tree trunk, a little shy amongst the smoke of a fireplace.

Perhaps the newcomer isn’t so bad, let’s take a close look.

What orb can resist going for a walk with the dog?

Guest Finds “Clouds” while Questing for Orbs

Orb Cloud Kathy Phelps

Kathy Phelps has been a guest orb photographer on Orbs Delight a few times. You may remember her photos of “clouds” that appeared on her view screen after taking a photograph while questing for orbs.  Well, she had another remarkable night. The following photos have been arranged chronologically based on the camera file numbers.Cloud orbs Kathy Phelps

Maybe “remarkable” is too vague a word. How about “astounding!”  You can see in the photo above that orbs did make an appearance.

cloud orbs Kathy Phelps

Easy to imagine a spirit running out of camera’s view on the right, scarf flying in the wind.

cloud orbs Kathy Phelps

Perhaps a parade of spirits sailing over the clothesline in Kathy’s yard, waving a greeting.

Kathy is a lightworker. To help explain what that might mean, she quotes Doreen Virtue: “Lightworkers are those that volunteered, before birth, to help the planet and its population heal from the effects of fear. Each lightworker is here for a sacred purpose…. Many lightworkers are discovering their innate spiritual gifts, such as psychic communication skills and spiritual healing abilities. These are the gifts that we volunteered to use to heal the Earth and her population during the crucial decades surrounding the millennium.”

Kathy says that she does a lot of energy work for the Earth, her inhabitants, and much more. She does sessions every New and Full moons and for both solstice and equinox. What she really means is that she facilitates the session. She channels light language that does what’s needed/requested. Light language is the language of the soul/spirit.

cloud orbs Kathy Phelps

One can see a lot of images within these “clouds” that suggest Beings who are drawn to Kathy’s lightworker activities.

It must be fascinating for Kathy to receive visual confirmation of the energies she has been working with for the past 7-8 years. The age of digital flash photography is truly broadening our visible spectrum. To see more of Kathy’s love of nature, please visit: http://naturesnippets.com/.

Orbs in the Rain

orbs in the rain

Sometimes it’s just fun to stand out in the rain and take photographs.

This will be one of’s those posts where I can’t say that all the lights in the sky are orbs. Some have that characteristic roundness, and perhaps even a few tear drops. Many of the brighter lights seem to be flash bouncing off the freezing rain.

orbs in the rain

I always like seeing the orbs overlap.

orbs in the rain

There was fog settling into the hollows of our mile high mountains in the early evening. A rare event that had my husband talking about the crawling eyes. Not sure I saw that way below B movie.

orbs in the rain

This is the oak tree that very occasionally will get some orbs hovering around.

orbs in the rain

Just a hint of cloud orbs started to appear.

orbs in the rain

Whether or not these brighter rounds are orbs, they definitely enhance the picture.

orbs in the rain

These wisps of clouds seem to be made up of many orbs.

orbs in the rain

And, after a hard night of photographing orbs, it’s time to walk the dog, hiding out of camera range. Now this is something the orbs all enjoy.
