Spirits of the Forest

New Moon is a perfect time to quest for orbs.

Orbs swirl in concert, Spirits of the Forest.

I can see them moving through the light of the focus beam, impatient to be photographed.

It isn’t often that anyone pays attention to the Spirits of the Forest.

So eager for notice,  the Spirits of the Forest cloud the view screen.

Must be pretty lonely in the woods with no one to take an interest.

Suddenly it’s a party with orbs of Forest Spirits coming from all directions.

And, like many parties, some encounters are more dramatic than others.

It’s just so wonderful to see the Spirits of the Forest dancing together.

    1. They were a little shy a couple of nights ago, but now the forest spirits seem genuinely enthusiastic. Nice to have the visual of what we feel to be inhabiting the night time forest.

        1. Most people are clueless about orbs. I heard of them in 2007, but didn’t find them in my photos until summer 2012. Now I’m obsessed standing outside in 20 degrees Fahrenheit looking for forest spirits. I’m slowly educating friends, neighbors and the blogging community. And, I’m comfortable pursuing the unknown.
