Orbs Lead the Way

A long day’s journey home with just a sliver of a moon and some orbs to lead the way.

Poetry Orbs

Tonight at the Bisbee Royale was Palabra Andante, a Poetry Open Mic hosted by Logan Dirtyverbs Phillips, the very energetic poet from Tucson, Arizona you see in the above photo.

Nicole, a dress designer, spoke of wearing her white summer dress after labor day.

Jeri McAndrews railed against media devices.

I am really sorry I didn’t get the photo moment when James Coull spit out the word “Blast!” I’m sure the orbs lit up for that sound.

Ruby spoke of hoop dancers and how much she loved circles. The orbs circled for her.

Did I mention that Logan was a dynamic speaker? The orbs were beside themselves snaking through the air.

Roger was just happy to be above ground (apparently an orb was rather pleased with that also), and had no problem accessing his media device.

Suzi Pretty did not think she was the next Allen Ginsberg but I found her delightfully entertaining and she set an orb glowing as well.

The orbs gathered for Ruby once again.

Orbs attend Honoring of Nancy Davies

On November 14, 2012 at Cafe Roka in Bisbee Arizona, the Bisbee Business and Professional Women honored three Women of Achievement. Standing in front wearing a gray jacket and a brilliant orb on her right shoulder is Rebecca Orozco, president of the organization.

My friend, Nancy Davies, in the striped scarf, was one of the honorees. You can see at a glance that she has an inner beauty that softly radiates.

We all cherish Nancy and were delighted to be able to applaud her many efforts on behalf of our community.

I like to think that the orb above is watching over Nancy as she has watched over us.

A month later, on December 14, 2012, Nancy Davies, a great and wonderful friend to so many passed beyond this earthly domain. May her lovely spirit rest in peace.

Quiet Night for Orbs

It’s a quiet night for orbs, and yet here’s a cloud of them at dusk.

I’ll show you a few pictures of the same scene within seconds apart so that you can see how the orbs shift.

The round white spot on the building is just an electrical box, not an orb.

I think it’s my expectations of more and more orbs that makes tonight seem quiet.

Actually, there are more orbs outside than there are people inside in my quiet neighborhood.

I like the calmness of the silent drifting of orbs.

How can we say they don’t exist, when we usually don’t bother to look?

On this moonless night, even one orb can seem a miracle.

Halo Orbs

One of my viewers, Alika, has asked about halo orbs, so let’s take a look.

This is Sergio Mendoza whose band, Sergio Mendoza y la Orkestra, was playing at the opening of the Bisbee Royale in July 2012.  Not only did he provide a very dynamic performance, it was also the first time I found orbs in my photos.

With an image like this, one wonders if the medieval painters were merely being imaginative when it came to painting halos, or were they seeing something that we’ve missed?

The very vibrant singer in Sergio’s band.

One of the trumpet players in the Orkestra.

Here is the bass player from the band, Pick and Holler.

The bass player in Buzz and the Soul Senders.

The bass player for the Andy T Band is also attracting orb attention.

The drummer for the LA band, Incendio, looks monumental in her orbs.

A woman of intensity, Amy Goodman, of Democracy Now.

Halos, what are they? Some have thought they’re a metaphor for spiritual enlightenment, or a means to portray our auras. And, why do orbs like to halo?

Closer Look at Orbs

Sometimes an orb is so large in my view screen that I start giggling and showing it off to friends in dark corners at the Bisbee Royale. This one came in the midst of John Doe singing with raucous abandon.

For this post I thought it would be good to just focus on the orbs that showed up in one night at the theater.

The above orb was so bright I had to double-check that it wasn’t a light shining off stage when John Doe sang his first song of the evening.

My friends and I had fun trying to count how many orbs we saw on the screen. It was the first time they had seen orbs and they soon became hooked on my fascination.

There is just something so profound and respectful about these orbs who hover above Michael Blake, author of Dances with Wolves.

I was going to take a break tonight from sharing views of orbs. Ho Hum another orb you might say. But, I truly do seem to be enamored by their presence and when not actually questing I want to zero in on their beauty for all to see.

Thanks to John Doe and Michael Blake for the interest the orbs took in your presence at the Bisbee Royale on November 8th. I continue to learn what sets them alight with each performer I photograph.

John Doe and the Orbs

John Doe, co-founder the of LA punk band, X, sang to a full house at the Bisbee Royale last night after Michael Blake’s talk about writing Dances with Wolves.

The orbs were as numerous as the audience who gathered to hear John Doe’s acoustic country-folk-punk songs of love and anguish.

The orbs hovered intently to not miss a word from John Doe, an actor as well as musician, who has appeared in the TV show Roswell, and movies Road House, Great Balls of Fire, and Boogie Nights, to give you a selection of his acting career.

One thing I’ve noticed about orbs is they really light up for performers who can belt out at song. Although I presume their ability to listen closely as a descriptive device, they do seem to respond to strong vibrations.

Sometimes the flash doesn’t go off and the orbs remain invisible. But the show does go on thanks to John Doe who still performs with the bands X, and The Knitters, writing and co-writing songs that earned Record of the Year from Rolling Stone for X’s Wild Gift.

Dances with Wolves meets Orbs

Meet Michael Blake who wrote Dances with Wolves while he was living in Bisbee, Arizona.

Michael Blake was onstage this evening at the Bisbee Royale showing us posters of some of his books. He has a powerful presence that intrigued the orbs.

Here is what we can see with our eyes. With digital flash the next photo will let us see beyond the narrow spectrum we are accustomed to:

Michael Blake has won the Academy Award for best adapted screenplay, the Golden Globe award for best screenplay, the Eleanor Roosevelt award for work with minorities, The Animal Protection Institute’s Humanitarian of the Year award, and the Americanism Award from the Air Force Sergeants Association, to name just a few highlights of the many honors he has received.

This is what I love about Bisbee, you simply can’t make assumptions about people merely by glancing at them.  Oftentimes they are true gems whose lives extend far beyond our little border town.

Orb Highlights Blog Appreciations

A month ago, on October 7th, I began the Orbs Delight blog. My purpose was to show the world what exists beyond our visible spectrum. And, people from all over the world have taken a look. But what happened in the looking was that my own world has expanded beyond the visible spectrum to include the lives that bloggers have shared of themselves, fearlessly letting me take a peak into their thoughts and the beauty they encounter.

People describe their truths and their passions and my life is becoming richer for the encounters that occur as we communicate, skipping for blog to blog. Like orbs, we enlighten each other sharing nuggets of advice, wisdom, photographing our lives, or just relating our current circumstances.

Sing it out and we will be moved.

Thank you all for seeking out my blog site. You have expanded my perceptions as fellow writers and as interested viewers with the generosity of your time. Knowing you are there is greatly appreciated.
