I don’t know what Pat was thinking, but even she seems to notice the squiggle orb.

Orbs and guests waited for Amy Goodman to arrive.

An orb seemed to get excited when KBRP radio station manager Ryan Bruce stepped to the podium.

Does the orb shine with delight as Ryan welcomes Denis Moynihan to the stage?

Denis Moynihan, co-author with Amy Goodman of the New York Times bestseller book, Silenced Majority.

Apparently orbs like nothing better than to listen to a good story-teller.

Buzz and the Soul Senders

Buzz and the Soul Senders at the Bisbee Royale generate a lot of orb interest.

Buzz and Daniele put the heat into soul.

While Derrick sends up a cascade of orbs.

The orbs hover for soul.

Even orbs start to vibrate when soul senders move.

Walk at Night

This evening I walked along my road in Bisbee, Arizona and pointed my camera into the dark to see what I could see.

Looking for orbs in the dark can be the opposite of everything you’ve learned about composition, saturation, contrast, etc. Until the flash lights up the hillside I have no idea what I’m pointing at or if an orb will be revealed.

It’s a little easier aiming my camera at a building, at least I know where I am, but will there be orbs?

Sometimes there will be just a couple of orbs, perhaps as curious about me as I am about them.

And sometimes there will be a fleet of orbs sailing by.

Take a walk at night and see what you can see.

Amy Ross at the Bisbee Royale

This evening I had the pleasure of listening to the full-bodied laments of Amy Ross. Greeted with hugs and smiles all are welcome to a hometown evening of music and conversation amidst rich tones and soft lighting at the Bisbee Royale.

The orbs floated around Amy Ross as she sang warmly of both joy and sorrows.

Amy drew in the crowd and attracted the orbs on an evening among friends in the welcoming atmosphere of the Bisbee Royale.

Sometimes Amy sang so high the orbs soared out of camera range.

And then it was time to say goodbye to Amy Ross at the Bisbee Royale.

Outside My Door

Inspired by Miceal Ledwith writing in the book, The Orb Project, who describes simply stepping outside to photograph orbs, I decided to give it a try. Clouds of orbs were wafting over the bushes and floating by the gate.

And then the cloud would dissipate to show the lights of B mountain and a star shining through.

Not sure if the cats knew that the orbs were with them.

May the Orbs be with You

Welcome to my latest passion: discovering orbs in photos! Some of you may have thousands of orb photos and some may be just as new to the wonder of discovering orbs as I am.  At this very moment, I could step outside and photograph a wandering orb floating above my home. They seem to drift with the breeze, but introduce a cat, a conversation, or musical performance and suddenly there are flocks of orbs attracted by our moments of enthusiasm.
