Orb Puzzle

pink orb

If I were a piece of your puzzle what hole would I fill?

Am I part of your landscape

the moss on the side of a tree

a petal among the flowers

the underside of a cloud?

If I were a piece of your puzzle where do you need me?

Am I your mirror

you glance at for reassurance

the thought you are reaching for

or the dream you’ve forgotten?

If I were a piece of your puzzle are you still searching

where to place me

or have you lost me under the table?

Have you slid me

easily into your picture

or do you suspect

I’m part of another world

you dare not enter?

  1. You’re a poet and a talented one indeed. I’m grateful you introduced me to the orbs and this poem is just a reflection of how majestic they are.

    1. Thank you, Sue. It is quite intriguing to discover the many pieces of our puzzles. The orbs showed up for me last summer when I needed to fill a creative gap.
